KARAKTERISASI BERBANTUAN KOMPUTER UNTUK SIFAT MEKANIS DARI 3 DESAIN STRUKTUR BONE SCAFFOLD
Abstract
Intisari

Abstract
Bone scaffold is a material or material used to fill or patch the damage that occurs in the bone. Appropriate mechanical strength in bone scaffold is a trait that must be owned by bone scaffold. The finite element method (FEM) is one of the computer-based methods that can be used to simulate a mechanical strength analysis. In this research there will be a compressive test to 3 bone scaffold design which is proposed to know the compressive strength of bone scaffold. Finite element analysis (FEA) is performed to determine the mechanical strength characteristics that occur in bone scaffold. The results show that the design with code BG1b-90a is the best design, among 3 designs submitted. Design BG1b-90a able to withstand the compressive strength of 1.65 MPa. This compressive strength is proportional to the compressive strength of human cancellous bone.
